A glider stall at the ridge - Remember to fly fast ;)

13 October 2018 Glider: Janus b (empty ballast) Stall speed: 70km/h (38kts) Thermal flight flap +8°: 80-100km/h (43-54kts) Pilot: Devis (+400h on glider) Copilot: Elio (+100h on glider, some thousand on hang glider) In this video you can see how my glider stall, maybe for a strong sink or a change in tailwind. You notice it by the light vibrations of the camera and the aircraft's roll. I was ready for that, keep in mind that I felt it (with my lovely bottom) before the vario indicated it, so I reacted. I quickly pushed the stick forward, nose went down.... and i turned away from the ridge. The anemometer doesn't had time to record it, but we probably went from 80km/h to 60km/h. Which is equivalent to a stall. DISCLAIMER: ... ehm ... yes, I like to fly slow close to the ridge. Do it only if you are sure to know what you are doing
