The Story of Earth: From the Dinosaurs to Today | Full Documentary

How did the age of the dinosaurs end, who took their place, and how did a planet of giant reptiles become the world of cities, trains and smartphones that we live in today? This special documentary travels through Earth's history in one sitting. It covers the first dinosaurs of the Triassic, the giant sauropods of the Jurassic, the Cretaceous (when India was an island drifting across the ocean), the asteroid that ended the age of dinosaurs, the rise of mammals and the Himalayas, the Ice Ages and the first humans, the first farms and the Indus Valley cities, and the modern world. The film ends with what we can all do to look after our planet. Everything is based on real scientific evidence, including fossils, rocks, ice cores and DNA. Where scientists are still unsure, the film says so. All animals and scenes are artist's reconstructions.
