Join Photo Adventure Trips for an **8-day small-group Croatia photography adventure, May 17–24, 2027**, exploring spectacular waterfalls, historic towns, charming villages, and the beautiful Adriatic coastline. After previously experiencing Croatia primarily aboard a yacht, Lois and Jim are returning to discover more of the country's landscapes, ancient architecture, and everyday culture. This isn't a traditional photography workshop. It's an exploratory photography adventure designed for people who love photography, travel, and discovering the stories behind the places they visit. HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR CROATIA PHOTOGRAPHY ADVENTURE *Plitvice Lakes National Park & Rastoke* Photograph beautiful waterfalls, turquoise lakes, forest landscapes, and the charming riverside village of Rastoke. *Historic Croatian Towns & Ancient Architecture* Explore Split, Trogir, Hvar, and Dubrovnik, discovering historic stone streets, staircases, weathered doorways, and architectural details that tell the stories of centuries past. *The Beautiful Adriatic Coastline* Enjoy private boat adventures to Hvar, the Pakleni Islands, and Mljet Island, with opportunities to photograph Croatia's beautiful blue waters, islands, harbors, and coastal landscapes. *Special Portrait Photography Experience* We're planning a photography session with hired local models in Dubrovnik, incorporating historic architecture, stone walls, staircases, and distinctive Croatian settings. This is an opportunity to create unique environmental portraits that may become wonderful additions to your photography portfolio or website, subject to appropriate model permissions. *Food, Culture & Local Experiences* Our itinerary also includes a food and wine pairing experience, opportunities to explore Croatian villages and local culture, and a special farewell Dinner in the Sky experience. Both hold Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees through Professional Photographers of America (PPA). You'll travel alongside two experienced professional photographers who enjoy sharing what they've learned, without the structure of formal photography classes or assignments. *Photography & Friendships* Before departure, we'll host a Zoom gathering to meet fellow travelers and discuss photography goals. After returning home, we'll reconnect to share favorite photographs, discuss cropping and editing techniques, and learn from one another. Photographers of all experience levels are welcome!
