Imagine photographing the ancient Pyramids of Giza, exploring historic Egyptian temples, and spending four nights aboard a private dahabiya on the Nile River—during the full moon! Join Lois and Jim of Photo Adventure Trips for an **11-day small-group Egypt photography adventure, March 16–26, 2027**, designed for photographers who love history, architecture, culture, and discovering extraordinary places. This isn't a traditional photography workshop. It's an exploratory adventure where you'll experience Egypt alongside fellow photographers, with time to discover the details, textures, patterns, and stories that make every destination unique. HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR EGYPT PHOTOGRAPHY ADVENTURE *The Pyramids & Ancient Egypt* Photograph the legendary Pyramids of Giza, explore the Grand Egyptian Museum, and experience the ancient temples of Luxor and Karnak. *Four Nights on a Private Nile Dahabiya* We've reserved an entire traditional dahabiya exclusively for our Photo Adventure Trips group—just 10 guests, plus Lois and Jim. Travel along the Nile between Luxor and Aswan, enjoying opportunities to photograph river landscapes, boats, villages, and everyday life. *Full Moon Photography on the Nile* Our Nile journey is planned around the March full moon, creating opportunities to explore the beauty of the river and its landscapes in a different light, weather and local conditions permitting. *Special Portrait Photography Experience* In Aswan, we're planning a photography session with hired models in a distinctive Egyptian setting. During our pre-trip Zoom gathering, guests can share ideas about clothing, styling, and creative approaches. Our goal is to create unique portraits that photographers can add to their portfolios or websites, subject to appropriate model permissions. *Small Groups, More Personal Experiences* We limit our photography adventures to just 10 guests, allowing more time to explore historic streets, photograph architectural details, and discover places that larger groups might overlook. TRAVEL WITH EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS Lois and Jim have owned a professional photography studio for 36 years. Both hold Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees through Professional Photographers of America (PPA). Although these aren't formal photography workshops, you'll travel alongside two experienced professional photographers who enjoy sharing their knowledge and experiences. Photographers of all experience levels are welcome. THE ADVENTURE STARTS BEFORE WE LEAVE Before departure, we'll host a Zoom gathering where guests can meet, share their photography interests, and discuss their goals for the trip. After returning home, we'll reconnect to share favorite photographs, discuss cropping and editing techniques, and learn from each other's creative perspectives.
