Genting Highlands, 4K: from the nine-storey pagoda down to Chin Swee Cave Temple, built into the rock. Sept 2026, 24 min, real sound, no narration.
This misty afternoon walk starts below the nine-storey pagoda, with cable cars gliding over the rainforest, then follows red-lantern corridors and stairs down to the temple courtyard. Past giant dragon incense sticks and a turtle pond, we tour the cave hall in detail: carved columns, ceilings, natural rock walls and worshippers lighting incense, before ending on the terrace above the jungle.

ABOUT THE PLACES ON THIS WALK
• Chin Swee Hall, the temple's main prayer hall, is built into the cave rock of the mountainside, so natural stone forms part of its walls.
• The temple honours Chin Swee (Qingshui Zushi), a Buddhist monk born in 1047 in Anxi, Fujian, remembered for bringing rain in times of drought.
• He is known as the "Black-Faced Ancestor": legend says a ghost blackened his face with a great fire, which is why his statues are dark.
• The gold paper burned in the courtyard furnace is joss paper, or spirit money, offered to ancestors and deities.
