Fast Driving Girls - Nemy: "Barbie floors it" - Fiat 500

Meet Nemy. She's only 19, and we'll say it early because you'll want to know: she drives like someone who has done this for a lot longer. Precise on the wheel, quick on the shifts, flat on the throttle, and in full control on tight hill roads. At an age when most people are still learning to find the biting point, she's already past it. She looks the part too. Tall, dark hair, black embroidered blouse, flared jeans, black mules, black nail polish, and a serious face that stays put until something makes it slip. Her car is a white Fiat 500, the one she dreamed of as a little girl, with the mirrors and wheel covers painted pink by her own hand. Barbie mood, with a cigarette. Night, the hills above her village, a long straight tunnel. No seatbelt on the hill roads (she buckles up for the tunnel, announced out loud, the only rule she's willing to say aloud), and a right foot that never learned the word “partial”. Every gear is snatched, every launch chirps the tyres, and the slow cars ahead get a running commentary that is not suitable for a princess. She barely smiles. Then she finds an empty road, floors it, and there it is. The 500 isn't fast. She doesn't seem to have been told. FDG hasn't had a girl like this in a while: looks, heels, speed and a heavy right foot, all in one. The only thing holding her back is the car. Put her in something worthy of that right foot, and who knows what she could do.
