ARE THE THINGS THEY SAY TRUE? This song begins with a young woman simply thinking out loud. She has heard what people say about God, about peace, love, freedom, sin and forgiveness, but when she looks at the world around her, she has questions. At first, she isn’t really praying. She is reasoning, questioning, even wondering what she would do differently if she were God. But somewhere along the way, something changes. She realizes she is no longer talking about Him. She is talking to Him. Her questions become personal. Maybe some of the brokenness belongs to us. Maybe peace begins closer to home. And maybe forgiveness costs far more than she ever understood.
