As a Guest Faculty in Motion Graphics at the National Institute of Design in Jorhat, my role involves contributing to the development of the curriculum. This means I select specific topics, define clear learning objectives, and structure the course content to ensure my students receive a comprehensive education in motion graphics. I am responsible for delivering lectures and conducting workshops to introduce my students to the core principles of motion graphics. This encompasses teaching animation principles, familiarizing students with software tools like Adobe After Effects, and explaining the creative process behind motion graphics design. To reinforce their learning, I assign practical projects to my students. These projects challenge them to apply the concepts and techniques they've learned in my class. Projects can vary in complexity, ranging from simple animations to more intricate motion graphics compositions. Providing constructive feedback on my students' work is crucial. I encourage peer critiques as well, as this promotes improvement and collaboration among my students. By offering valuable insights, I help them refine their skills and develop a critical eye for design. I invite guest speakers from the motion graphics industry to share their experiences and insights, greatly benefiting my students. This exposure provides real-world perspectives and networking opportunities, helping my students understand the practical aspects of the field. I assist my students in building strong portfolios that showcase their work effectively. A well-structured portfolio is vital for them to demonstrate their skills and creativity to potential employers or clients in the future. I provide guidance on potential career paths within motion graphics. I discuss various job opportunities, freelancing prospects, and even entrepreneurship in the field. I connect my students with alumni and industry professionals to facilitate networking and future career prospects. In my role as a Guest Faculty for Motion Graphics, my mission is not only to transfer knowledge but also to inspire and nurture the creative potential within my students. I adapt my teaching methods to cater to various learning styles and individual needs to ensure their success in the dynamic world of motion graphics.
