The Russian protected cruiser Aurora

The cruiser Aurora is one of the few ships that survive from the pre-dreadnought era. She served during the Russo-Japanese War and then the First World War ... and is reputed to have fired the shot that signalled the start of the Russian Revolution. She was sunk during the Second World War and later raised and renovated so that she could serve as both a museum ship and a training ship for naval cadets in St Petersburg.
