August 1, 1973-Yankees vs. Red Sox (WQBK Radio)

-The only times I feel uploading a Yankee defeat are necessary are when the game has some extra significance and that's true of this one. This is the game that saw the rivalry between Thurman Munson and Carlton Fisk explode when Munson attempted to run over Fisk during a botched squeeze play in the 9th inning and a brawl ensued that saw both players ejected. In many respects, one could say that this game helped ignite the Yankee-Red Sox rivalry of the 1970s that culminated in 1978. -Phil Rizzuto, Frank Messer and Bill White with the call on Yankee radio network station WQBK in Rensselear, NY.
