Cartier North End and Wabush Lake Rwy, June 21, 2001

On the first full day on the North End of the Cartier, Eric and I caught three Cartier ore loads and empty trains between Mont Wright and Queen. We also caught the Company freight which runs weekly between Mont Wright and Port Cartier, handling employees vehicles back south. We also crossed over into Labrador to shoot the Wabush Lake Railway departing the mines. At Wabush Lake Jct, the train is turned over to the QNSL who handles it south to Arnaud Junction, WC where the ore is transferred to Wabush Lake Railway's sister company, Chemin de fer Arnaud (Arnaud Railway), for the final journey to ship loading facilities at nearby Pointe-Noire, Quebec.
