Where Your Suitcase Really Goes After Check-In

The moment you hand over your suitcase, it disappears into a hidden transport network beneath the airport. In this episode of Airport Decoded, we follow a checked bag from the check-in desk through barcode scanning, security screening, automated sorting, aircraft loading, flight transfers and finally baggage reclaim. You’ll discover: • How airports identify and route thousands of bags • What happens beneath the passenger terminal • Why transfer connections are especially difficult • How baggage teams recover bags when something goes wrong • Why one unreadable label can send a suitcase in the wrong direction Airport Decoded reveals the hidden machines, people and systems that make air travel work.
