🚛 Welcome back to another trucking vlog! Good morning from Sadieville, Kentucky! We're up bright and early at 5:30 AM, getting our pre-trip inspections done and preparing to make the roughly nine-hour drive back to our yard in Ontario. We've got a load to deliver in New Hamburg, Ontario, and a trailer switch to complete before we can call it a week! Along the way, we're stopping in Ohio to fuel up, where diesel is still cheaper than in Ontario. The weather isn't cooperating, with rain and strong winds rocking the truck as we make our way north. We also run into a lengthy border crossing, spending about an hour waiting to get back into Canada. After crossing the border, we stop at an ONroute for a bite to eat, where I share my thoughts on paying $23 for chicken tenders, fries, mac and cheese, and a drink! You won't believe how small those chicken tenders were! Once we reach New Hamburg, it's time to switch trailers and head back to the yard. But things take an unexpected turn when I discover an air leak on the trailer we're picking up. After some troubleshooting and a few trips around the parking lot, the problem appears to resolve itself, but I'm keeping a close eye on the air pressure to make sure everything stays safe. We also deal with traffic delays caused by an accident on Highway 401 before finally making it back to the yard and getting ready for our weekend reset. It's been a long day, but we're getting the job done! What's coming next? We'll be heading back out on Sunday for another run, and let's just say I'm not looking forward to this one!
