🚛 Welcome back to another trucking vlog! Good morning from Taylorville, Indiana! We’re starting the day with our pre-trip inspection before heading to our first delivery, just 20 minutes away. After a quick unload, it’s time to head south toward Bardstown, Kentucky, for our next pickup. Unfortunately, things don’t go quite as planned! After driving nearly two hours to Kentucky and waiting around for three hours, I find out the load was canceled the day before. Talk about a frustrating waste of time! But that’s trucking — you can’t control everything, and sometimes you just have to roll with the changes. Dispatch sends me on a new mission to Ohio, over 500 km (300 miles) away. Between construction traffic, a quick rest-area stop, and a long evening behind the wheel, it’s a late night getting there. I finally arrive around 10:30 PM and get loaded shortly after midnight. After scaling the trailer, I discover the load is a little overweight on the back axles, so I’ll need to adjust the tandems tomorrow. With the trailer loaded, the next plan is to head toward Windsor, Ontario, for a trailer swap before starting a multi-stop trip through Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska. It’s been a long day filled with unexpected changes, wasted time, and late-night driving, but we’re loaded and ready for the next adventure! 🚛 Thanks for riding along with OTR Dave!
