1 Samuel 1 - The Birth of Samuel

Samuel is born to Elkanah and Hannah. Hannah was one of two wives of Elkanah and had no children, causing her great pain. In her desperation, she sought the Lord promising to give him back to the Lord if he answered her prayer. The Lord answered her prayer, giving her Samuel. From her, we learn the importance of faithfulness to God and aligning our hearts to His desires and will.
