Get my FREE “Funky Blues Guitar” course today 💥🎸: https://www.bluesrockguitarlessons.co... From That Little Ol’ Band From Texas, “Just Got Paid” is one of the nastiest rock-blues riffs of all time. Originally released on ZZ Top’s 1972 album Rio Grande Mud, the song was played in open E tuning with a slide solo — but in this lesson, I show you how to play it easily in standard tuning. 🎸 In This Lesson: Beginner- and intermediate-friendly versions of the main riff The full, advanced riff exactly the way Billy Gibbons plays it Standard-tuning solo ideas that work over the groove Rhythm guitar approaches to keep the pocket greasy and tight Whether you’re just getting into ZZ Top or want to deepen your Texas blues-rock vocabulary, this one delivers. 🔥 Tone Notes: I’m playing my ’58 Custom Shop Les Paul straight into a ’59 Tweed Princeton — pure, no-nonsense tone for days.
