Day 6 of Yella Beezy's capital murder trial in Dallas — Tuesday, November 3 — hit the jury twice in one day.
First, Dallas Police Officer Nicholas Brooks took the stand. Brooks worked off-duty security for Markies Conway. On November 11, 2020, after hearing about the shooting on I-35, he texted Conway at 1:39pm. Conway replied: "Yeah, I'm cool. What's going on?" Brooks answered: "Call me." They spoke, and Conway said he was in California. Brooks testified he never gave those communications to Detective Barnes, Detective Anderson, or anybody in homicide — until a prosecutor contacted him "last year, sometime." Asked if he wished he had provided it in 2020, he answered: "Absolutely." On cross, the defence pointed out Brooks sought the job himself, taught Conway how to pay officers through Zelle, and invited Conway to his wedding.
Then FBI Special Agent Taylor Page walked the jury through the phone map. Devices associated with Conway and Kewon White pinged the same Houston cell towers on October 31 and November 1, 2020, with overlapping areas during Dallas–Houston travel. Page stated the limits on the record: the data cannot prove the men were together, in the same vehicle, communicating in person, or who held either device — and there were no direct Conway–White or Conway–Brown communications in the records discussed. Page's 98-page FBI report also put White's phone at the I-35E murder scene, showed a spike in White–Brown calls around the murder, and traced a November 20, 2020 trip: Conway flew LAX to DFW, drove to a Chase Bank in Frisco, and withdrew $40,000 in cash. The defence cross challenged the tower precision, the barbershop, and a three-hour window on the murder afternoon that was never analysed. The judge dismissed jurors early so they could vote — it was Election Day.
Yella Beezy (Markies Conway) has pleaded not guilty to capital murder and is presumed innocent. Kewon White was convicted in September 2026 and has publicly denied being paid by Conway. This video covers Day 6 testimony only, with real court audio at the moments that matter.
UPDATE (Nov 5): Day 7 happened Wednesday, November 4 — Cedric Bradley testified that Kewon White allegedly confessed to him; financial analyst Deanna Davenport walked jurors through Conway's 2020 bank accounts (over $1.44 million in, about $863,000 spent); lead detective Eric Barnes took the stand. Evidence resumes Thursday, November 5 at 9am CST (Day 8).
