Yaxel Lendeborg Is Already Checking All The Boxes

The Morning Roast reacts to Yaxel Lendeborg's impressive preseason performance — 17 points, 9 boards, and the NBA preseason rebounding lead — as Shaski declares the Warriors have already nailed this draft pick. The crew breaks down what makes Yaxel different from past Warriors rookies: his half-court IQ, defensive communication, Jimmy Butler-level court vision (per Draymond), and natural feel for the game despite picking up basketball late. The bigger question: can Yaxel take the load off Steph Curry? The guys draw a John Elway parallel — Steph can still be that guy situationally, but not everything needs to flow through him. Starting lineup debate, Draymond's ideal bench role, and the real talk on what Warriors fans should actually expect this season. 0:00 – Warriors Win Preseason Opener 124-98 & Valkyries Game 2 Tonight at Ballhalla 1:20 – Yaxel Lendeborg Breaks Down: 17 Pts, 9 Boards, Preseason Rebounding Leader 3:40 – Draymond Compares Yaxel's Vision to Jimmy Butler 7:00 – "The Game Seems Slow for Him" — Shaski Makes the Case for Yaxel Now 10:30 – Steph's John Elway Moment: Time to Share the Load 12:00 – Ideal Starting Five Debate — Draymond off the Bench? 15:00 – Rookie of the Year vs. First-Round Exit: Would You Take That Deal?
