Emerging School Food Research Priorities: Insights for FRESH Grant Writers

What are the emerging priorities for school food research in Canada—and what could they mean for upcoming FRESH grant applications? In spring 2026, a national research prioritization process brought together the Coalition for Healthy School Food’s working groups and participants at the Nourishing Futures School Food Forum in Montréal. In this webinar, our presenters share preliminary findings and recommendations ahead of the release of the final report. The session offers insights for school food advocates, researchers and policymakers, particularly those preparing FRESH grant applications.
