Héroïnes - Full Performance | Le Salon

Five long-haired guys, three guitars, a piano, a drum kit, and amps too small for their naive ambition to outshine everyone else. They started out in a basement, writing silly, bitchy lyrics in English, pushing their way into Parisian bars where an intoxicating alchemy was born. Since then, their switch to French has hinted at the tremors of a new style of writing, influenced by the surrealism of Bashung, the bittersweet sweetness of Souchon, and a Gainsbourg-esque provocation. The diverse musical influences of each member are revealed under the aegis of total cohesion, served by gritty guitars, a hushed keyboard, a bass that feels very close to the body, and a drumbeat with a sharp, angular rhythm. In short, a tailor-made musical and visual universe, poised between edginess and gentleness, that electrifies both venues and hearts. The desire to create a coherent and original project gave rise to the idea of a residency in isolation, surrounded by nature, thus opening the second chapter of the group’s story. In a former sheepfold, redesigned for the occasion, voices and instruments, imbued with depth and maturity, resonate together, seizing the opportunity of the moment. The album born from this retreat unfolds a rich and meticulously crafted palette in service of a new ambition: to combine vibrant lyrics, tinged with bitterness and unfulfilled lyricism, with rhythmic, apostrophic cadences, carried by a triumphant and original instrumental track.   / heroines_music   https://open.spotify.com/artist/5aMpX...
