Noah's Song | Christian Songs of People from the Bible

Welcome to the second song in the People From the Bible series by Timothy’s Christian Songs! “Noah’s Song” tells the story of Noah, a man who trusted God and obeyed His instructions even when others could not understand what he was doing. When God warned of the coming flood, Noah faithfully built the ark, persevering through the doubts and laughter of those around him. I created this song in the lively 1950s Gospel style which I enjoy very much. As the rain fell and the waters rose, Noah and his family found safety inside the ark, protected by God's care. When the flood finally subsided, the dove returned with an olive leaf, bringing a beautiful sign of new beginnings and hope. Noah’s story reminds us that faith means trusting God even when the way ahead seems uncertain. Whatever storms we face in life, we can remember the God who carried Noah through the flood is faithful to sustain us, too. 📖 Bible inspiration: Genesis 6–9 🎵 Lyrics: [Verse 1] Noah heard that warning rain Though the skies were clear that day He took the wood and bent his knees And bowed his heart to obey The neighbors laughed, the work went on Hammer strike by hammer strike But Noah kept on building up When the world said, "That don't look right" [Pre-Chorus] Still he trusted every word Still he followed where God led Brick by brick and beam by beam He went on with faith instead [Chorus] Noah kept going, kept going When the waters started to rise Noah kept going, kept going With the Lord right by his side A holy hand in the storm A safe place through the night Noah kept going, kept going And the Lord made it right [Verse 2] The sky grew dark, the wind got low Then the first drops hit the ground One by one the door got shut And mercy settled down The old boat rocked on roaring waves While the rain kept beating hard But Noah held on to the promise Safe inside God's care and heart [Pre-Chorus] Still he trusted every word Still he followed where God led Through the flood and through the fear He went on with faith instead [Chorus] Noah kept going, kept going When the waters started to rise Noah kept going, kept going With the Lord right by his side A holy hand in the storm A safe place through the night Noah kept going, kept going And the Lord made it right [Bridge] And when the wind had spent its song And the waters rolled away A dove came back with promise green To greet the break of day So when my own clouds close me in I'll remember what is true The God who kept old Noah safe Will carry me on through [Final Chorus] Noah kept going, kept going When the waters started to rise Noah kept going, kept going With the Lord right by his side A holy hand in the storm A safe place through the night Noah kept going, kept going And the Lord made it right Noah kept going, kept going The Lord brought him through alive Noah kept going, kept going Now my soul can testify 🙏 If this song blesses you, please like, share, and subscribe to Timothy’s Christian Songs for more original Christian songs inspired by the Bible.
