DEFOREST BUCKNER IS BACK WITH THE 49ERS!

DeForest Buckner is back in a 49ers uniform, and it cost just a 4th-round pick. With the team sitting at 6-1 and still the Super Bowl favorite, this trade could shape the entire playoff race. In this segment, the hosts break down what the move means for the Niners and why they think the front office got it exactly right. Willard and Dibs argue that the defensive line has always been the core of how San Francisco builds a roster, and that adding Buckner fills a bigger need than left guard. They also look at the Seahawks landing Quenton Nelson on the same morning. Their take is that the Niners would have made this move anyway. They also push back on the usual criticism that the front office gets ripped every time a rival makes a splash, and they make the case that the 49ers are the most balanced team in the NFL. Topics discussed include: Why Buckner is a “no-brainer” for a 4th-round pick Why defensive line was a bigger need than left guard How the Seahawks’ Quenton Nelson trade changes the NFC race The Colts being “open for business” and who might be next Why the front office always gets criticized at the deadline Why “two-sided” teams win Super Bowls The brutal November stretch that decides the No. 1 seed Do you agree that Buckner was the right move, or should the 49ers have done even more?
