Heritage hoppers,a Heritage unit, and a GP50 8/31 and 9/1/2026

In scenes from Monday,August 31st and Tuesday September 1st, we see a few interesting trains on the Central Railroad of Indianapolis and Norfolk Southern. On Monday we see a westbound empty Perdue Farms grain train on the CERA Marion Subdivision in Greentown with NS power. 2 former Rock Island hoppers are in the train, each being 47 years old. NS 8158 and NS 4464 bracket 101 cars. Later that evening we see NS 885 westbound on the Lafayette near New Waverly. The Reading Heritage unit,NS 1067, leads the 110 car train. Tuesday morning finds IORY 5014 leading a 16 car local on the CERA Marion Subdivision. That train is seen at Howard County Roads 950 East and 1250 east as well as Sims in Grant County.
