These Ahadith collectively establish the Sunnah and permissibility of performing Masah (wiping) over Khuffs (leather socks) during Wudu. In Hadith 202, Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqas (رضی اللہ عنہ) narrates that the Prophet ﷺ wiped over his Khuffs, and Umar ibn al-Khattab (رضی اللہ عنہ) confirmed this practice to his son Abdullah (رضی اللہ عنہ). Hadith 203 reports that Al-Mughirah ibn Shu‘bah (رضی اللہ عنہ) accompanied the Prophet ﷺ and, after he performed Wudu, the Prophet ﷺ wiped over his Khuffs. In Hadith 204, ‘Amr ibn Umayyah (رضی اللہ عنہ) states that he personally saw the Prophet ﷺ wiping over his Khuffs. Hadith 205 further reports that the Prophet ﷺ wiped over his turban and both Khuffs. Finally, Hadith 206 explains an important condition: when Al-Mughirah (رضی اللہ عنہ) tried to remove the Prophet’s ﷺ Khuffs during Wudu, the Prophet ﷺ told him to leave them because he had put them on while already in a state of purification, and he then wiped over them.
