Christian Lacroix’s Fall 2009 ready-to-wear collection combined tailored outerwear, historical references and decorative details. The collection featured bubble-backed peacoats with a V-shaped silhouette, Edwardian-inspired cardigans with leg-of-mutton sleeves, draped navy chiffon and 1970s-inspired pantsuits. Mini-crini party dresses were finished with bows at the shoulders, while accessories included lace and floral-print tights, gold jeweled belts, and fur or faux-flower tippets tied with ribbons.
