There is something so special about picking berries straight from nature and bringing them home to turn into something delicious. Back in the kitchen, I baked a moist Raspberry Almond Cake and enjoyed it with a refreshing homemade Fresh Raspberry Lemonade. I also prepared Hilma’s homemade meal with boiled sweet potatoes and chicken. Later, I preserved some of our forest harvest by making low-sugar raspberry chia jam, and before the day ended, I baked homemade Raspberry Oat Cookies especially for Hilma. 🐾 A simple summer day filled with forest walks, seasonal cooking, baking, and quiet moments at home. Before the day came to an end, I carefully packed and stored some of our wild raspberries in the freezer to enjoy during the long Finnish winter, a little taste of summer saved for the colder days ahead. ❤️ Thank you so much for spending another slow day with us here in the Finnish countryside.
