My Nan was making Scouse for as long as I can remember, and it's always been one of my favorite dishes. It's the perfect comfort food for a cold winter's day, and it's a staple at our family gatherings.

Recipe;
Pickled Beetroot
3-4 beetroots, washed and trimmed
250ml white vinegar
250ml water
100g brown sugar
1 tsp salt
Scouse
750 grams stewing beef, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 large onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced (I doubt my nan used garlic, but I did mention we gonna tweak things a little.
2 tablespoons tomato sauce and hp brown sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3 oxo cubes
5-6 large potatoes
1 Turnip
4 diced carrots
Salt and pepper, to taste
