Filled With the Fullness of God | Ephesians 3:19 | Bible Study What does it mean to be filled with all the fullness of God? In Ephesians 3:19, Paul prays a remarkable prayer—that believers would be filled with God’s fullness. This goes far beyond receiving a blessing, experiencing an emotional moment, or gaining more biblical knowledge. It is about allowing every area of our lives to be occupied, influenced, and empowered by God’s presence, character, and Spirit. Jesus declared, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). That abundant life is only possible as we fully receive Him through His Word and His Spirit. In this Bible study, we explore: • What it means to be filled with the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19) • Being filled with God’s love, presence, wisdom, power, and purpose • How God’s fullness produces a transformed life (Colossians 1:9-10) • The role of the Holy Spirit in revealing God’s will and forming Christlike character (Ephesians 5:18) • Why God fills us not merely so we can feel something, but so we can become something • The balance of spiritual growth, power, wisdom, and maturity in Christ Paul’s prayer points us toward a life that participates in all of God’s resources and blessings—a life marked by spiritual maturity, fruitful service, and continual growth in the knowledge of God. As John the Baptist declared: “He must increase, but I must decrease.” The more room we give God in our lives, the more His fullness is revealed through us.
