The 1995 Subaru SVX looked like it had arrived from somewhere further ahead on the calendar. Its dramatic shape, unusual glasshouse, and grand touring character made it unlike almost anything else Subaru had built. The Subaru SVX was an ambitious Japanese performance coupe created during an era when automakers were experimenting with bold designs and advanced technology. Its aircraft-inspired styling, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine, and distinctive window treatment gave the SVX a personality all its own, while its four-wheel-drive system reflected Subaru's engineering identity.
