While filming at a busy river junction, I was absolutely amazed by the bustling boat traffic and the vibrant floating trade happening right on the water! From massive cargo boats to swift "vỏ lãi" (traditional longtail boats), it felt like a lively marketplace on the move.
In this footage, you'll see the incredible variety of goods being transported and sold:
A large cargo boat stacked incredibly high with bundles of wood/timber, almost overflowing.
A "vỏ lãi" packed to the brim with fresh green coconuts, ready to be sold to passing travelers.
Another "vỏ lãi" heavily loaded with stacks of giant, ripe watermelons, navigating the busy waterway with ease.
This is the true heartbeat of Vietnam's river life—where people buy, sell, and live their entire lives on the water. It’s an incredible, resourceful way of living that has thrived for generations. Can you believe they sell everything from firewood to fresh fruits right from these small boats?
