Peptides for hair growth, without the hype: what the research on copper peptides like GHK-Cu and AHK-Cu actually tested, and where the evidence stops. We look at the studies behind the marketing, how copper peptides compare with minoxidil and finasteride, and why a 4-week before and after photo tells you almost nothing about the hair cycle. 📱 Peptide Lab app, free in your browser (progress photos + journal): https://klow-peptide.com/en/pages/pep... ▶ Full GHK-Cu guide, every study cited: https://klow-peptide.com/en/guide/ghk... 🧪 AHK-Cu peptide, what the science shows: https://klow-peptide.com/en/articles/... 📩 Free peptide guide + newsletter: https://klow-peptide.com/pages/newsle... WHAT YOU WILL LEARN • What copper peptides are: GHK-Cu (glycine, histidine, lysine) and AHK-Cu (alanine, histidine, lysine) • Why neither GHK-Cu nor AHK-Cu is an approved hair loss treatment anywhere in the world • What the 2007 Pyo study found on human hair follicles, and why it was in vitro only • What the 2004 Philp study showed for thymosin beta-4, and why rodent hair cycles differ from ours • What the 2018 Pickart and Margolina paper says about GHK-Cu and gene expression • How copper peptides compare with minoxidil and finasteride on the evidence • Why a topical peptide cannot fix hormonal, inflammatory, nutritional or thyroid-related hair loss • What is missing: no large placebo-controlled human trial with counted hair density • How the hair cycle works: anagen, catagen, telogen and exogen • Why a 4-week before and after photo mostly shows where your natural hair cycle happened to be CHAPTERS 0:00 Peptides for hair growth: hype vs evidence 1:04 What are copper peptides? Short amino acid chains that carry a copper ion, mainly GHK-Cu and AHK-Cu. They are sold as topical scalp ingredients and are strictly cosmetic and research ingredients. Do copper peptides regrow hair? That has not been shown in humans. The most cited hair study (Pyo, 2007) was done on follicles in a dish, and the thymosin beta-4 work (Philp, 2004) was done in rodents. Is GHK-Cu as good as minoxidil? There is no comparable evidence. Minoxidil and finasteride went through years of large randomized placebo-controlled human trials with counted hairs. Copper peptides have nothing of that size. Are copper peptides approved for hair loss? No. Neither GHK-Cu nor AHK-Cu is an approved hair loss treatment anywhere in the world. Why are 4-week before and after photos misleading? Each follicle cycles on its own schedule through anagen, catagen, telogen and exogen. A photo 4 weeks apart mostly shows where the natural cycle was, plus lighting, brushing and hair length. Can a peptide fix the cause of my hair loss? Hair loss can be androgenetic, inflammatory, nutritional or linked to stress or the thyroid. A topical peptide does not address those root causes, which is why a medical diagnosis comes first. Educational content only. This is not medical advice or a treatment recommendation. Copper peptides are not approved hair loss treatments anywhere, and we give no dose and no protocol. Do not stop or replace anything your doctor has prescribed. Hair loss needs a real medical diagnosis, so always speak with a qualified doctor or dermatologist. #peptides #hairgrowth #GHKCu #copperpeptides #AHKCu #hairloss #minoxidil #PeptideLab
