Shining FLOWER - Hikaru Hana (rare Japanese multimedia)

Made by maze Inc. in 1993, this artistic slice of early multimedia, was built as a soothing guide to meditation. For Mac users who needed to take a break from the insane workday or just to relax at home with a cup of tea, this gem provides the user with an interactive journey or an automatic programmed journey, depending on which you choose. Once it begins, you embark on a life-cycle to find spiritual light and being. The word 'solace' comes to mind. A little man finds a glowing tulip, all alone and covets it within a small pot to carefully travel with. He finds many different creatures and beings on his trek, consisting of beautifully drawn landscapes and music that has just the right touch of imagination and color. A tale of evolution, Shining Flower is spellbinding and thought provoking at times, as well as endearing. Concept and paintings by Kikuko Iwano. Music by Yamato Hayashi. Direction and animation by Tsuyoshi Kuroda. copyright © 1993 VOYAGER Co. for MAC/WINDOWS - you can still find copies online. (sorry about the screen blocks during some of the animation. This was recorded in Basilisk emulator - It's a mac 256 colors thing that I don't know how to fix)
