Young birds need appropriate nutrition, clean water, suitable brooding conditions, adequate space, and close observation as they adapt and grow. In this documentary, we're showing what we fed and how we managed this particular flock on our farm, rather than presenting one feed programme as the only correct approach. The commercial pre-starter feed featured in the footage was part of our feeding programme for these chicks during their early days. From Day-Old Chicks to Future Layers These tiny birds are at the beginning of a much longer journey. Over time, they will move through different stages of growth, with their nutritional and management requirements changing along the way. This documentary captures just the beginning of that journey.
