Warm up stretches are important for any physical activity and here we go over some stretches for curling that you can do at your curling club or at home, seated in a chair and standing with the support of a sturdy chair or a table. Whether you do traditional curling or stick curling, these stretches are designed to help develop both strength and flexibility in the key muscle groups used for getting down into a low lunge, for feeling stable standing and moving on the ice, and preparing the upper body and low back for sweeping. Do only what feels comfortable for you and avoid or discontinue any options that cause discomfort. Please consult your physician regarding the applicability of any recommendations and follow their instructions before beginning any exercise program. When participating in any exercise or exercise program, there is the possibility of physical injury. If you engage in this exercise or exercise program, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities, and assume all risk of injury to yourself. 0:00 Intro 1:36 Upper Back & Chest stretch for Sweeping 3:35 Hip Flexors stretch for low lunge & standing balance 5:33 Hip Stabilizers stretch for balance & stability 9:43 Glute stretch for low lunge & standing balance 12:00 Hamstrings stretch for standing balance 13:09 Wrap Up
