My Testament

My Testament is a personal testimony hymn about my faith in Jesus Christ, the scriptures, and the Restoration of His gospel. For a long time, I’ve wrestled with the desire to share my testimony with others. Sometimes finding the courage or the right words has been difficult. But I no longer want that fear to keep my testimony hidden. Through this song, I testify of Jesus Christ, His Atonement, Crucifixion, and Resurrection. I share my belief in the truthfulness of the scriptures, the calling of ancient prophets, the First Vision of Joseph Smith Jr., and the coming forth of the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. These aren’t simply stories or teachings to me. They are things I have come to believe and know to be true from the bottom of my heart. This song is different from many of my others. Rather than having a traditional chorus, it unfolds as a personal testimony hymn, moving from my struggle to speak openly toward a declaration of what I believe. My hope is that those who listen will understand not only what I believe, but how much these beliefs mean to me. I invite you to learn, ask questions, and seek answers for yourself. Whether or not you share my beliefs, I respect your freedom to decide. My testament is no longer going to be hidden.
