Tutorial 6 of the Anvesco series: sketching a new P&ID.
Starting a new unit or a modification? The first P&ID is often a hand sketch for the draftsman. Anvesco gives you a clean sheet with a proper title block and standard symbols, and hands over a PDF in which every item stays editable.
In this video:
• Why sketch here instead of on paper
• A new sheet: ISO A0–A4 or ANSI A–E, landscape or portrait, 10 mm / 5 mm grid, border and title block
• The symbol library: valves, instruments, piping, pumps, vessels, exchangers, plus the client's own symbols
• Sketch: equipment, pipes as polylines, tags as text (R turns, F mirrors a symbol)
• Reuse part of an existing P&ID with Snapshot
• Hand over: export the sketch PDF (editable in Bluebeam / Acrobat)
