Bolton Textile Mill No.2 | Farnworth, Lancashire | 4K Drone

There doesn’t seem to be much information available about this mill however it would appear to have been built around 1906 and was an extension to the then existing Textile Mill located close by. The original mill has long since been demolished. Also, mill no.2 would have had a large chimney and a reservoir with the latter feeding water to the steam engine, however neither of these exist today. You will see the mill is in a poor state of disrepair like many local mills that still remain. As mentioned in a previous video, in the past the local area would have had well over 100 mills and the town would have been covered in a dense smog as a result of all the chimneys.
