【18.3】東雨乞岳→雨乞岳｜Pt.2｜Three-Peak Traverse

2026年8月9日（日）5:21スタート 標高：東雨乞岳 1,225m／雨乞岳 1,238m／七人山 1,073m 距離：約7.45km（武平峠 西口駐車場からさらに約300m先の駐車場を起点に3座縦走・周回） 駐車場：武平峠 西口駐車場からさらに約300m西の駐車場 下山後：ゆうゆう会舘 足湯（車で約30分） 下山飯：旬彩亭（ゆうゆう会舘内） 今回は滋賀県東近江市・甲賀市にまたがる、東雨乞岳、雨乞岳、七人山の3座縦走へ。 朝5時21分、まだ涼しさの残る早朝から登山スタート。 この日は朝から天気も良く、途中の山道からも向かいの山々がしっかり見えて、とても気持ちの良い登山でした。 ただ、時間が経つにつれて夏の暑さが少しずつ身体に効いてきます。 そして今回、それ以上に大変だったのが大量のアブ。 歩いている間も何匹ものアブがまとわりつき、振り払ってもすぐに戻ってきます。 止まると一気に近寄ってくるので、途中では走って逃げる場面もあり、普段以上に体力を使いました。 刺されることはありませんでしたが、この時期の山でのアブのしつこさと怖さをかなり実感しました。 そんな中、まず到着したのが東雨乞岳。 山頂からの景色は本当に素晴らしく、周囲の山々を見渡せる開放的な景色が広がっていました。 なぜかこの場所だけはアブも少なく、久しぶりに立ち止まってゆっくり景色を楽しむことができました。 東雨乞岳からは、そのまま雨乞岳へ。 笹や藪が濃くなり、その中を掻き分けながら標高1,238mの雨乞岳へ登頂。 ただ、山頂には再び大量のアブ。 せっかく登頂しましたが、ゆっくりする余裕はほとんどなく、そのまますぐに退散しました。 その後は七人山まで縦走し、周回ルートで駐車場へ。 距離は約7.45kmですが、夏の暑さ、大量のアブ、笹や藪の中を進む区間もあり、数字以上に疲れを感じる山行になりました。 それでも、東雨乞岳から見た景色や、3座をつないで歩いた達成感はしっかり残っています。 下山後は、車で約30分のゆうゆう会舘へ。 足湯で疲れた脚を休め、そのまま館内にある旬彩亭で下山飯。 朝早くから山を歩き、3座を縦走し、最後は身体を休めてご飯を食べる。 今回も登山だけで終わらない、一日の山の時間を楽しむことができました。 東雨乞岳の絶景。 雨乞岳へ続く笹と藪。 大量のアブとの戦い。 そして七人山までつないだ3座縦走。 大変だったことも含めて、しっかり記憶に残る山行になりました。 登頂まで。 Until the Summit ⸻ Sunday, August 9, 2026 – 5:21 AM Start Elevation: Mt. Higashi-Amagoi 1,225m / Mt. Amagoi 1,238m / Nanatsuyama 1,073m Distance: Approx. 7.45km loop connecting three peaks Parking: Parking area approx. 300m west of Takehira Pass West Parking Lot Post-Hike: Footbath at Yuyu Kaikan Post-Hike Meal: Shunsaitei, inside Yuyu Kaikan This hike took me across three peaks in Shiga Prefecture: Mt. Higashi-Amagoi, Mt. Amagoi, and Nanatsuyama. I started at 5:21 AM while the morning air was still cool. The weather was clear, and I could see the surrounding mountains through openings along the trail. As the morning went on, the summer heat became stronger, but the biggest challenge was the horseflies. Large numbers of them kept following me along the trail, and even when I waved them away, they came straight back. There were moments when I had to run just to get away from them. Fortunately, I was not bitten, but this hike showed me just how persistent horseflies can be in summer. Eventually, I reached Mt. Higashi-Amagoi. The summit view was incredible, and strangely, there were far fewer horseflies there. For the first time in a while, I could stop and properly enjoy the scenery. From Mt. Higashi-Amagoi, I continued through thick bamboo grass toward Mt. Amagoi. I reached the 1,238m summit, but the horseflies immediately returned, so I barely had time to stop before moving on. After that, I continued to Nanatsuyama and completed the loop back to the parking area. The total distance was only about 7.45km, but the heat, insects, and thick vegetation made the hike feel much harder than the numbers suggest. Still, the view from Mt. Higashi-Amagoi and the sense of accomplishment from connecting all three peaks made it a memorable day. After descending, I drove to Yuyu Kaikan, rested my legs in the footbath, and finished the day with a meal at Shunsaitei.
