A 'Kisan Adhikar Maha-rally' (Farmers' Rights Grand Rally) was organized by the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh in Palanpur. The rally was held to address various issues and demands of the farmers of Banaskantha. Farmers took to the streets after repeated representations to the government failed to yield a solution. A massive public meeting was organized near the Jodna Pura railway bridge. Following the meeting, a 5-kilometer-long grand rally was held from Jodna Pura to the Palanpur Collector's office. Farmers from across the Banaskantha district participated in the rally in large numbers. A key demand of the farmers was for a subsidy on the potato crop. Demands were also raised for the waiver of crop loans. They demanded crop loans of up to ₹5 lakh at 0% interest. There was a demand to discontinue the 'draw system' for agricultural equipment subsidies.
