𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐄: Crews Battle Wind-Blown Sand to Restore Boardwalk

VENICE BEACH – At approximately 7:20 a.m. Friday, a coordinated cleanup effort was underway along the iconic Venice Beach Boardwalk as crews responded to heavy sand accumulation caused by recent high winds. Personnel from the Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Public Works, and the Venice Clean Team worked in unison to clear the boardwalk. A Public Works street sweeper navigated the length of the path, while team members manually shoveled sand away from the historic Venice pagoda. Another worker operated a high-powered blower to dislodge sand that had piled up along pedestrian areas. The cleanup follows several consecutive days of gusty winds that pushed large amounts of beach sand inland, temporarily covering sections of the walkway and adjacent structures. Officials did not indicate whether additional cleanups would be scheduled, but the early-morning response suggests continued vigilance as seasonal wind patterns persist.
