Fixing the Sanyo M4430 - Why won't it play!

Hi all, this time I'm looking at the sleeker-looking baby brother to the Sanyo M4440 - the M4430. It's a very similar unit but is lacking the tape counter. I feel the colour scheme is far nicer than that of the M4440. As usual with these old Sanyos, the fix is never straightforward, but they are a lot of fun to work with. Hope you enjoy!
