Accused Killer Dentist Became ‘Unhinged’ Prior to Boyfriend Murder

Closing arguments began on Thursday in the trial against Suzanne Mericle. She’s facing malice murder and felony murder charges after allegedly shooting her boyfriend, James Barron, through a bedroom door at their home in Gainesville, Georgia. The state argued that Mericle had an obsession with a woman that Barron was allegedly sending money to and was a main focus for her anger and aggression.
