Yellow Billy's Cave - hike - Pokolbin State Forest

Yellow Billy's Cave - hike - Pokolbin State Forest This was a highly enjoyable hike with great views along large portions of the way (watch flyover at the start and you'll see why the views are great). It is also very pretty bushland. There are a few signs on some trees, which we only saw on the way back (on the back of the trees on the way out - it is an out and back walk), which rate it as a grade 4 hike. It does have some steep sections and a couple of biggish hills to go up and down. I was expecting to have to navigate the whole way but someone had tied pink ribbons the whole way (we hiked June 2026) - but I recommend that you plan to need to navigate if you go as there is no guarantee that the ribbons will be there and it is like hiking off-track without them (there is no obvious trail for most of it). I really enjoyed this hike and highly recommend it if you are capable of off-track navigation (in case the pink flags are not there).
