BNSF 6973 Manifest Train with Norfolk Southern South - E. Swain Road Railroad Crossing, Stockton CA

(Filmed March 27, 2026) I went out to Swain Road this day to see if I could catch anything on the Sacramento Sub. Sure enough, there was a southbound BNSF manifest waiting in the siding for signals to depart. If I remember correctly, this was the H-LVJFRS. In addition, it had a Norfolk Southern trailing third. This particular one was one I had missed nearly a week prior, so I was glad to get a second chance at catching it. After a short wait, it got signals to depart. I’m not even going to get started on the dog that was barking at me from the SUV to the left of me off screen. At least the driver acknowledged me and raised the window. This was my only catch of the day. This crossing owned by Union Pacific is a mixed install with the cantilevers themselves being a UP mid to late 1990s signal install with their lights being the only changes. The shoulder gated masts and far median signal are UP early 2010s signal installs. The close median signal is a UP early 2020s signal install.
