TRAIN RIDE TO MINEHEAD TO SEE FLYING SCOTSMAN 19 SEPTEMBER 2026 PART 2

There was a great atmosphere that day. There were plenty of people enjoying the spectacle especially when Scotsman's train deposited all its passengers on the Minehead platform. So many wanted to see the loco that it was very difficult to get close enough to see it as it disconnected from the front of the train. It was such a pity that having done so it hid away behind its coaches for its stay at the station. So many wanted to get a good view and take photographs during its stay. We did get reasonable views however when it arrived and when it departed two hours later.
