It is often described as a pleasant tingling sensation along the spine or back of the head and is caused by different auditory or visual triggers (such as tapping or scratching on objects, whispering, or any number of sounds; everyone likes different things!) ASMR is not meant to replace professional medical advice or care. It is simply used as a sleep aid, for relaxation, or as background noise for focus.
