Our Client, a Breast Cancer Hero: Maxine McDaniel’s RICE Awards Winning Moment | FBF | #BreastCancer

“I live to serve.” For our client Maxine McDaniel, those words are a way of life. This Flashback Friday during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Georgia Injury Attorneys proudly revisits the moment her Tickled Past Pink Foundation, Inc. won Foundation of the Year at the 12th Annual RICE Awards, held September 24, 2022, at Atlanta City Hall. Previously shared separately on the Georgia Injury Attorneys and The People’s Champs pages, Maxine’s acceptance speech and red-carpet interview are now presented together for the first time—a celebration of survival, service, faith, and a woman whose compassion continues to change lives. Maxine stood on that stage as an 11-year breast cancer survivor. In her remarks, she describes the practical support her foundation provides: rides to medical appointments, meals, rental assistance, help obtaining prescriptions, and comfort for people navigating some of life’s hardest days. Through clean comedy shows and other community events, she turns laughter and generosity into meaningful help for survivors. Then she shares a deeply personal part of her story. While delivering dinner to a cancer survivor, Maxine was seriously injured in a car crash. The woman who so often showed up for others suddenly needed someone to show up for her. In both her speech and her interview, she expresses heartfelt gratitude to Georgia Injury Attorneys, including Attorney Brian Poe and Jamie, for standing by her. We are honored by her trust.
