timberframe workshop roof

Finally time to put a roof on our timberframe workshop. We start by hand planing some reclaimed yellow poplar and hemlock rafters from a 100+ year old house which was torn down. Then we cover the roof with green poplar sheathing, followed by underlayment and a metal roof. Rafters use a simple half lap joint combined with clinch nails. https://mrchickadee.wordpress.com
