HER HUSBAND JUST DIED — THEN THEY CAME TO BUY HIS CAR

Diamond is still mourning the death of her husband when Nathaniel and Esther arrive with an unexpected request: they want to buy her late husband’s car. What begins as a simple discussion about a vehicle quickly becomes an emotional family confrontation. Mama is grieving her son, Diamond is trying to deal with life after losing her husband, and the proposed car sale raises difficult questions about grief, property, timing and what should happen to the belongings of someone who has just died. As more details come out, the situation becomes far more complicated than Nathaniel and Esther expected. Was it wrong for them to come for the car so soon, or is there more to the story than grief alone?
