Trump meets Xi in China: Recalling POTUS' Beijing trip amid Chinese leader's DC visit

After Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted President Donald Trump in May in Beijing, Trump is set to reciprocate the gesture in Washington D.C. After the Chinese leader's arrival Wednesday, the two are set to hold a meeting as well as attend a state dinner Thursday with tech industry leaders from OpenAI, Nvidia and Qualcomm expected to attend the event, according to multiple outlets. The trip will culminate with tea at the White House before the Xi's departure back to Beijing. The visit comes amid tensions between the U.S. and China over AI development and more.
